Position Overview:

As a Motor Technician, you'll play a hands-on role in building the motors that help power the future of rail transportation. In this role, you'll assemble, disassemble, clean, and inspect motor components while operating production equipment and following detailed drawings and quality guidelines. You'll be part of a team focused on precision, safety, and continuous improvement, partnering with supervisors and engineers to troubleshoot production challenges and ensure each motor meets Siemens' high standards for performance and reliability.

Shift: 5:30pm-4:00am (2-3 months of training will be on the 1st shift which is 6:30am-5:00pm)

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Inspect, clean, disassemble, reassemble, and adjust motor units to meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
  • Complete inbound inspections, stage parts, remove couplings with specialized tools, and inspect key motor components.
  • Prepare and test motor assemblies, including rotors, stators, seals, pulse wheels, coils, and insulation systems.
  • Install bearings, reassemble motors, flush regreasing systems, and complete electrical, insulation, surge, balance, and vibration testing.
  • Maintain a safe, organized workspace by preparing motors for painting, caring for tools, supporting 6S, and helping improve processes.

This posting outlines the primary responsibilities of the role but is not all-inclusive; additional duties may be assigned in alignment with business needs.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of EHS procedures, product standards, and assembly processes.
  • Experience working with machines, tools, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to accurately document and record information in written or electronic form.

Candidates should be willing to work in non-climate-controlled environments and inclement weather if required or if applicable.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Purpose is the reason a company exists. It's not about making money or selling products - it's the deeper "why" behind everything we do. It answers the question: What problem are we solving? What positive change are we creating?

For Siemens, our purpose has been clear for over 175 years: We create technology to transform the everyday, for everyone.

The world needs technologies that work. Technologies that matter. Technologies that solve today's challenges and help shape a better tomorrow. And that's exactly what we build. By bringing together the real world (factories, buildings, power grids, trains) with the digital world (software, data, AI, digital twins), we help our customers become more competitive, resilient, and sustainable.

Our technology is everywhere - in trains and transportation, we help move people faster, safer, and more sustainably.

This position also offers a one-time sign-on bonus of $1,000.00, less applicable taxes, payable after 180 days of employment.
